In Vista/XP/2000/NT, Change the Registry
To change Autorun in Vista/XP/2000/NT, you have to find the CDROM entry in the Registry. Go down this hierarchy and then look for CDROM. Note the path at the bottom of the dialog.
Windows 95/98 1. Click Start menu. 2. Select Settings/Control Panel/System 3. Click the Device Manager tab. 4. Double click CDROM. 5. Click once on the CD-ROM drive. 6. Right click Properties. 7. Click Settings. 8. Check/uncheck Auto insert notification.
Uncheck Auto Insert in 98
Autorun is called "auto insert notification" in Windows 95/98. To disable it, uncheck the box.
