Mac Mini
A lot of machine in a small package, the mini is ideal for students and people in cramped quarters. (Image courtesy of Apple Inc.)
The Mini's Predecessor
In 2000, Apple introduced the G4 Cube, which looks like a larger version of the mini. Small, slick and self-contained, the G4 Cube was not priced low, and although it won several design awards, it had problems. The on/off switch was too easily activated, and the top air vent was in a bad place. If covered with a book, the unit would overheat and shut down. Apple pulled the product a year later.
